What is the DockLite G4?
Built specially for the iMac G4, the DockLite delivers a simple, effective way to turn your ageing iMac into a functional external display. An integrated amplifier keeps your original Pro Speakers in play, and Juicy‑Link lets you adjust backlight brightness from software. An onboard USB hub means your keyboard, mouse and other accessories stay connected too.

No soldering required, and nothing permanent. Open your iMac, swap out the old logic board, and the DockLite drops straight into its place.
Open your iMac
Access the internals using our illustrated guide — no special tools beyond a standard screwdriver.
Remove the logic board
Disconnect and lift out the original logic board. The process is completely reversible.
Install the DockLite G4
Slot the DockLite into place, reconnect the cabling, and you’re ready to go.
