Will this work with my iMac?
Every iMac model we currently support is listed in our web store. If yours isn’t there yet, join our mailing list or follow us on social media and we’ll let you know when new models are added.
Why does it cost what it does?
Juicy Crumb is a small company based in Sydney, Australia. Our boards are designed here and built in small batches from quality components, which costs more per unit than mass production. The Australian dollar’s buying power also affects what we pay for parts.
As we improve our manufacturing, we review our pricing and pass on savings where we can.
Why not just buy a monitor for the same price?
You could, and you’d get a working screen. But Juicy Crumb exists to keep good hardware out of landfill. An iMac is better built than most monitors in the same price range, and a converted one keeps features a plain monitor usually doesn’t have, like the built-in speakers, webcam and IR receiver.
How hard is the upgrade board to install?
It’s an involved job. You’ll be opening the iMac and swapping out internal parts, so we recommend having some experience with computer hardware before doing it yourself.

My board is installed but something isn’t working
Most problems after installation come down to a loose connection, a hub or adapter in the video path, or a tired iMac power supply. Our troubleshooting page has step-by-step checks for blank and flickering screens, interference and firmware errors, plus what each diagnostic LED means.
