Description

Built for the 2011 27″ iMac, the DockLite delivers an effective and simple solution to turn your ageing iMac into a functional external display. The integrated amplifier allows for use of the internal speakers and Juicy-Link lets you easily adjust the backlights luminance. The onboard USB hub also allows you to take advantage of your iMacs original SD Reader, Webcam and IR Sensor!
The DockLite development is currently complete and is shipping in batches to Kickstarter backers.

The Docklite is designed to be plug and play! No soldering is required for its installation and the process is fully reversible!

Micro Controller
The Micro-Controller acts as the brains of the DockLite, enabling it to intelligently adjust fan speeds, change display brightness and automatically put the system to sleep when it’s not in use.

USB Hub
The Onboard USB 2.0 Hub allows the DockLite to interface with the iMac’s original accessories, such as the iSight Camera and SD Reader.

Audio Amplifier
The audio amplifier connects to your iMacs original speakers, allowing you pump out your music just as you did before.


Tactile Buttons
The tactile buttons are accessible via the RAM access hatch on the bottom of your iMac, and allow easy adjustment of the display brightness.

USB Ports
These USB ports can be accessed via the RAM access hatch and allow you to easily connect accessories such as keyboards, mice or USB sticks to your computer.
